World Book Day 2022

Our World Book Day competition ‘Read a Book in an Unusual Place’ gathered many entries, people in cupboards, in waste paper baskets, in the pet food supermarket aisle, on a tandem, in a helicopter and the inevitable toilet picture. We also had a few entries from pet cats and rabbits.

The winner was one of our students from year 8 who climbed a tree in his local park and read a World Book Day book, he won a World Book Day T-shirt, a World Book Day badge, books and chocolate.

We also ran 2 quizzes, a ‘Design a Book Cover’ competition during library social times.

Some lucky classes took part in online quizzes during their library lessons or played the World Book Day song challenge.

We gave away 500 World Book Day books and hundreds of tokens featuring the Harry Potter competition – good luck to all Grangers who have entered to win a day out in London at the film studios.
